Do you LOVE those old-fashioned recipes from the way back? You know…those recipes that your Grandmother may have made. Well, this yummy and super Easy Chocolate Chip Blonde Brownies Recipe comes from my mom’s recipe box that I inherited when she passed away. I have been making these foolproof Blonde Brownies with Chocolate Chips forever!

I love to get that old recipe box out and go through it and make old recipes that are simple to make and taste oooh so good. The thing about Vintage Recipes is that they are almost always made with ingredients you most likely have in your pantry.

This recipe is SO EASY to make. So sorry for not having more pics this time…I forgot to take any until the very end! I made them for guests we had over the other night and again, well…I forgot to take pics until they were all made…but I got a few good shots of the finished Blonde Brownies so you could at least see how yummy they are!

One reason this recipe is so easy is because you just mix the ingredients up and then pour it all into a baking dish! They are simply the BEST because I don’t have a lot of patience for making cookies. I know right!? Who would have thought?

I don’t like waiting for each batch to bake before putting in the next batch…this is an all-in-one yummy dessert FOR THE WIN!

Heads up with this tip!

The dough for this recipe is very thick…like cookie dough. You haven’t done anything wrong! Simply press into your prepared baking dish evenly to the sides.

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray a 10 x 10 baking dish with cooking oil. Use a 9 x 13 if you double this recipe…which you should because everyone will gobble these up!

In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir to mix up.

Use a large bowl and beat (cream) together the brown sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and mix.

Gradually mix in the flour with the creamed butter and brown sugar.

Stir your chocolate chips in and spread the mixture into a greased 9 X 13 baking pan.

Bake until golden brown, which should be about 20 minutes depending on your oven. Let this cool before cutting.

Test for doneness

Use the old fashioned toothpick test. Poke the middle of these cookie bars through with the toothpick. If it comes out clean…they are done!

Enjoy!
