Self portrait doodle. I’ve been really inspired by the visual kei look lately, and I need a haircut…haha! I also need to draw something decent soon. Been short on free time these past couple of weeks. Hopefully I’ll have some full colored drawings up soon~

I purchased clay recently and decided to start making my own earring charms~ Here is a pair of my mascots; He and She Bunny. I had so much fun making these, so I want to dedicate this week to making some more designs, and then I’d like to try selling some jewelry soon. These bunnies hang 1.5 inches from the ear lobe, and are pretty light weight and comfy. If you’re interested in purchasing this pair, please let me know via e-mail. They are $10, and that includes the shipping charge. Plus you get a little letter and sketch.

So everyone is talking about snow and it’s making me wanna draw snow! Here’s a sketch I hope to color within the next couple of days…It features my BlueStreak characters: Aya, BC, and Ryan. Yes, BlueStreak is now up and running! Please read it! There are already 7 pages of it up! It updates every Monday, and usually a couple of pages at a time.
Also, I know it’s not Valentine’s Day yet, but I did draw a little something for fun.

It’s Beatrix and Steiner from my all time favorite video game, Final Fantasy IX. If you haven’t played it, I highly recommend you do. It has the most beautiful and gripping storyline. And an amazing cast of characters. Gosh, I could go on all day.
Hope to have a colored version of my sketch in the next post. See ya then!

No, I’m not feeling blue, but I love the color blue! So this drawing happened. It’s a late night doodle. Here’s a cropped portion of the larger image. The character is Kino from my comic Majesty.

It’s been so long since I’ve done anything with markers or colored pencils. I miss the days before I knew about Photoshop and digital art, where I would spend hours coloring with pens and crayons. And I think my work was much better then. Well, it definitely had more passion. There’s something about digital art that makes us artists take things for granted…like, control z, filters, and color balance…Can’t say I can live without digital techniques, but every once in a while I like to revisit my traditional tools. This is one of the things I doodled late the other night. I used Copic markers and colored pencils. It was fun. Now I wanna try watercolors.

Been really busy with commissions and work these past few weeks. I wanted to share one piece I finished most recently for Jeremiah Caudle. This is his character Saburo, who was really fun to draw.

If you’d like me to help you make your character come to life, you can get all the info from my commissions page. There are few slots left for new customers and new slots won’t be available until March, so contact me ASAP if you’re interested.
Ah, HUGE GYNORMOUS THANKS to Yun who made me the cutest sculpture ever for my birthday. I absolutely love it! I wanted to share it with you, with her permission of course. It’s of my character Ryan of BlueStreak. Everything about it is so cute and perfect <3 And I had a blast photographing this stuff!

Balthier (FFXII) on the far right was a gift from Yun, too! Gosh, I’m really spoiled…

That final image includes a very adorable plush keychain which I got from J-chan and it’s from Japan! The little bunny is from Japan, too…also a gift (yes, spoiled indeed). I’m so glad all of my figures are getting along well.
Well, just wanted to show off a bit =D Thank you, Yun!
I was hoping to start 2010 with some awesome art, but alas, work has been keeping me from drawing the things I really wanna draw. Had a little break while working, so I’ll share my late night drawings with you.

My drawings are usually so feminine so I was wondering if I’m even capable of drawing masculine images. But of course I had to conclude with something pink.

This is inspired by Tim Burton’s work. I was really tempted to draw lashy eyes, especially after watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. Then I got a drawing idea, but of course that’s not gonna happen for a while. Oh well, at least I had a few minutes free to sketch~Now I need to get back to work. Working late nights is not so fun anymore…
Look at what I made today! Disney sells charms individually to make charm bracelets and necklaces, but I like to buy them in pairs so I can turn them into earrings. It makes them unique because I know no one has a pair like it, and it’s fun to wear stuff you put some effort into.

I’m sorry the photos are terrible! My camera was dying so I could only photograph them quickly, and I didn’t have enough time to set them up on a nice background with good lighting…but you get the idea. The first image is of Mickey’s hat and ears from Fantasia, and the second is the Disney World Castle…I’ve wanted these charms for the longest time now <3 I actually got the blue beads a really long time ago and never thought I’d have any use for them. Good thing I kept them! They match so nicely~
And now it’s off to work I go…Hi ho…Hi ho…
